Open House Festival: Open Day and Family Workshop

The Zaha Hadid Foundation took part in the Open House Festival for the first time this year. On 16 September 2023, visitors were invited to an open day at our Grade II listed building in Clerkenwell, London, which included an opportunity to explore the building, learn about its history and participate in a fun family workshop.

Visitors were able to guide themselves around the ground floor of the building, to discover how and why this building was created, and to learn about its dynamic history as a former 19th-century school and the HQ of Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA). There was also a free creative family workshop in the gallery focused on creating parametric dens inspired by Zaha Hadid’s work, which was led by architectural designer Jahba Anan.

In addition, visitors could sign up on the day for a tour led by Wilson Yau (ZHF) on the upper floor of the building, which included an exclusive view of Zaha’s former office, Studio 9.
